The only animal that I can really tell you definitively has two (bioflourescent) colors is corals.”Fireflies have a different type of glow. Bioluminescent organisms – like fireflies – use chemical reactions in their bodies to exude light, while bioflourescent beings absorb light, and radiate it back out.7-Year-Old Discovers New Dinosaur Species, a T-Rex That Eats PlantsThe phenomenon is known to exist in corals, crabs, insects, and more than 200 kinds of fishes. Biologists are still uncertain as to why the sea turtle would need the eerie glow for it’s survival. Regional concert promoter remanded

first_imgTrinidadian Cornelius ThomasTrinidadian Cornelius Joseph Thomas known as “CJ Thomas”, was remanded to the Dominica State Prison after he was charged with attempted dishonesty at a Roseau Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, November 19.The twenty-two year old was on island promoting the ‘Saving Souls’ gospel concert featuring grammy nominated gospel artist VaShawn Mitchell which was carded for November 15 at the Newtown Savannah.He was arrested outside the office of local radio station Q95FM on the morning of November 15 and has been in police custody since.At court, the charge read alleges that on November 11 at Roseau, he dishonestly, with a view to procure a National Cooperative Credit Union (NCCU) cheque in the amount of $35,205 to a travel agency for payment of ten tickets knowing that the account number 303389 held at NCCU had insufficient funds.Thomas was not entitled to enter a plea as this is an indictable offence.Police prosecutor acting inspector Valda Powell, who objected to the defendant being granted bail, informed the magistrate that the decision was based on the grounds that Joseph can be considered a flight risk.Cornelius “CJ” Thomas being escorted from the court to the police vehicleShe added that while in custody at the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) at the Police Headquarters, Thomas made attempts to escape.However defense attorney, Geoffrey Letang told the court that the objection is “moot” as it was not his intention to apply for bail.Magistrate Carrette-George stated that in the circumstance bail is closed to Thomas although an application for it was not made.The preliminary inquiry into the matter is scheduled to begin on January 21, 2014.Letang told the media to be careful in their reporting of criminal matters as what they may report may not be good for the prosecution’s case.He also said that members of the public make up the jury pool and reporting on such matters should be done in accordance with court reporting regulations.Moreover VaShawn Mitchell on his instagram account on the evening of November 15 wrote, “People of Dominica please forgive me for tonight. I was informed when I landed St Lucia that the concert tonight was cancelled!
